Fantango's dam is Veganieta a five year old international class daughter of Jazz and a star mare who had the second highest score in North America keurings in 2005 scoring an 8 for trot. This 170 cm mare has the conformation and movement marking her as a top foundation brood mare. Veganieta is also the dam of Bagatelle NPF, Calypso NPF, and Enieta NPF.
Fantango's sire is Iron Spring Farm's Contango. Contango is a Preferent sire of many outstanding offspring. Perhaps his most famous son is Ravel the winner of the Bronze medal at the 2010 World Equestrian Games.
