Gatsby is a chestnut gelding with a lot of suspension and elaborate movement.
Gatsby's dam,Zinosa is by the young stallion Tango a product of the magic cross of Jazz/ Contango where Jazz brings the movement and "go" and Contango contributes his great rideability. Zinosa was a joy to start under saddle and to watch being ridden. She shows a lot of suspension combined with an effortless way of going. With her Jazz blood she shows a forewardness but it is always controllable. Gatsby has the keur stallion Jazz on both top and bottom of his pedigree. Johnson is a son of Jazz. Jazz himself performed at grand prix level with his rider Tineke Bartels. Grandsire, Olympic Cocktail also performed at the highest possible level and achieved numerous victories and high placings in grand prix and kur to music. Grandsire, Flemmingh, is famous for producing the grand prix dressage horses, Krack C with Anky van Grunsven and Lingh with Edward Gal.
Johnson is a rising star. His very interesting dressage pedigree combined with a perfect dressage model will make him a super horse for all the dressage experts. Johnson has three excellent gaits receiving 9.5's for all three. Fundamental for this stallion are his easygoing character and willingness to work under saddle. This beautiful stallion is already Oldenburg and KWPN approved. Johnson was the overall champion of the KWPN stallion show in 2005 and he did very well in both the performance test at Oldenburg and at Ermelo. He produced a very uniform crop of foals in 2006 and will sire the most foals of any KWPN stallion in 2008. Johnson is now performing at Grand Prix and we were very impressed with him when we saw him at the stallion show winter 2012.
